Formatted Text Control
Version 1.1 NEW

The Formatted Text Control (FTC) is a canvas based control for REALbasic that implements word processor capabilities similar to Apple Pages and Microsoft Word. The FTC is useful for implementing reports or general word processing capabilities within your applications. The FTC supports Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows. It also compiles and runs under linux, but has not been thoroughly regression tested for linux. The FTC is completely written in REALbasic.

The FTC features the following capabilities.

• Three display modes including page, normal and edit
  
• RTF support including picture support
  
• A full range of paragraph and character styles
  
• Picture support
  
• Custom object support for adding application specific items
  
• Built in undo management
  
• Many customization options to adapt the FTC to your application
  
• Highly optimized code written in REALbasic for maximum flexibility

Version 1.1

This version includes 12 new features and enhancements including the addition of hyperlinks, picture and custom object enhancements, selection rectangle constrained to the actual selection, and a few other assorted enhancements. This version also addresses 24 bug fixes. See the version history for a complete list of changes.

Minimum Requirements

The FTC is supported for latest REALbasic release and one release back. It will work on earlier releases back to 2008R2, but there is no guarantee going forward as new language features are added to REALbasic and are utilized in the FTC. The FTC is officially supported for OS X and Windows. The FTC compiles and runs under Linux but has not been fully regression tested.

The FTC relies on the Einhugur GraphicsFormats plugin or the MBS plugins for doing picture conversions and you will need to purchase one of these plugins. The demo application uses the Einhugur window splitter plugin (not required in your end applications).

Purchasing the Control

Pricing for this software is $450 for a set of non-encrypted modules. To purchase a license, click on the "Buy It Now" button. You will be sent a serial number that will allow you to unlock the FTC source code archive. Download and run the FTC Decryptor application to unlock the archive.
